BHS World Languages Placement Test
The BHS World Languages placement test for incoming students of all languages will take place in person at Berkeley High School on Wednesday, April 8th and Thursday, April 9th, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. Students can choose either of the two dates to test for French, Latin, Mandarin, or Spanish. The tests include a written portion and a listening/speaking portion.
Who should take a placement test?
Do you want to skip a level? Do you want to start at a level that is higher than one of the above automatic placements? THIS TEST IS FOR YOU and you need to complete the registration below.
Are you a Spanish native speaker or have native-like proficiency and want to test into the first or second level of Spanish-for-Native-Speakers classes? THIS TEST IS FOR YOU and you need to register below.
To take the French, Latin, Mandarin, or Spanish placement test, please complete this registration form. REGISTER
Registration must be completed by Friday, February 27th. Students who do not register will NOT be able to take the April test. REGISTER
